I'm talking about FIREWORKS, of course. And it's time for my annual anti-fireworks column. HERE IT IS!
After my ride along last year with the enforcement teams, I was appalled. Illegal fireworks were everywhere and when they weren't, drunken morons were making legal fireworks into illegal projectiles.
ENOUGH!
Just have some watermelon, sing God Bless America and call it good!

I see the fireworks booths going up around town and wonder, with the economy down, if people are going to spend money on these polluting products that cause property damage and sometimes, used improperly, kill people. I grew up where personal fireworks were illegal and never felt the loss. It's time to make them illegal in Kern County, too
